Ottawa is the capital of Canada and is located on the South bank of the Ottawa river in Southern Ontario. The city speaks both French and English due to its geographical location, just across the river to Quebec. The citys most popular attraction is Parliament Hill and the Federal Parliament Buildings. The National Gallery and the Museum of Civilization are amoung the best known museums and galleries in Ottawa. There are also plenty of parks in Ottawa and the Rideau Canal is very popular in the summer with canoeists and in the winter it becomes the worlds largest ice rink. Major festivals in Ottawa include in Winterlude celebration in February and Tulip festival in May.
